New rules to be implemented before july 1, 2018

Solas MSC.338(91) Reg II-2/10.10.4 For ships constructed on or after July 1, 2014, a minumum of two two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus for each fire fighting teams shall be carried on board. Those two-way portable telephone apparatus shall be of an explosion-proof type or intrinsically safe.

Ships constructed before July 1, 2014, shall comply with the requirements of this paragraph not later than the rst survey after July 1, 2018.
